The Kia Stinger is the sort of car that nobody expected the Korean carmaker would actually make. So, it was a pleasant surprise to enthusiasts when this stunning fastback was actually produced.
Even more surprising is the fact that the Kia Stinger is also a stunning drive. Few expected Kia, which didn’t have expertise in making performance vehicles, to actually deliver such a sensational car.
As a testament to its excellence, the Kia Stinger was voted Straits Times Car Of The Year 2018.
The Stinger comes in two variants. The entry-level GT Line has a turbocharged 2-litre delivering 244hp (247ps) and 353Nm, capable of 0-100km/h in 6 seconds.
However, the subject of this video is the hotter GT model. It packs a twin-turbocharged 3.3-litre V6 capable of 365hp and 510Nm of torque.
Driving the rear wheels through an 8-speed automatic, it’ll go from rest to 100km/h in 4.9 seconds. It’s the quickest Kia model to date.
Is this performance enough for the sgCarMart team to give the Stinger a “Will Buy” recommendation? Watch and find out!
