The Audi e-tron is the first production electric vehicle (EV) from the German luxury carmaker. That Audi has chosen an SUV to be its first EV is a reflection of the continuing popularity of this body style.
Although the e-tron resembles the Q5 from a distance, it’s actually closer in size to the range-topping Q8. But when it comes to performance, the Audi e-tron offers a lot more.
Two electric motors (one on each axle) deliver a combined output of 355hp and 561Nm. In boost mode, these figures rise to 402hp and 664Nm – enough to rocket this 2.5-tonne SUV from rest to 100km/h in 5.7 seconds.
But is the Audi e-tron’s performance enough to compel buyers?
To find out, sgCarMart’s Idris Talib takes us through the e-tron’s space and features, and takes the SUV for a spin. Will he conclude that the car is a “will buy”, “go try” or “won’t buy”? Stay tuned to find out!
