Polestar has updated the all-electric Polestar 2 fastback.
The improvements to the Standard range Single motor model have increased its range from 470 to 474km (WLTP). It can also be charged via direct current at 130kW, up from 116kW previously.
A variety of sustainability upgrades have also been given to the Polestar 2. For instance, the aluminium tray that carries the battery casing is now purchased from smelters that use renewable energy, which the carmaker says saves 750kg of CO2 per car.
Meanwhile, the optional Nappa leather upholstery is now claimed to have greater sustainability credentials than before. This leather is now available in Zinc and can be paired with Light Ash deco.
From mid-June 2022, owners can also purchase a removable sunshade for the panoramic glass roof, which should help keep the cabin cooler.
For the exterior, the paintwork hues Space and Jupiter have replaced Void and Moon exterior colours, while the 19-inch and 21-inch wheels are now offered in new designs.
