Wearnes Automotive, Jaguar Land Rover’s official agent in Singapore, has introduced the updated Jaguar F-Pace.
The model, which debuted four years ago, is Jaguar’s first SUV.
It is currently available as the P250. The P400e, a plug-in hybrid model, can be had on an indent basis. Wearnes Automotive says the hotter F-Pace SVR model will be available in due course.
The F-Pace starts from $252,999 with COE.
JAGUAR F-PACE: EXTERIOR UPDATES
The F-Pace’s front end sees the most dramatic change. Apart from the larger air intakes, new grille and new LED headlights, there’s also a more sculpted bonnet.
The grille, which is larger than before, has a new mesh design with diamond detailing. This is influenced by Jaguar’s heritage logo. At the rear, the F-Pace gets new “double chicane” tail-lights, which were first introduced on the all-electric I-Pace.
The Jaguar F-Pace can be specified with the optional Black Exterior Pack, which sees components like the grille, front and rear bumper inserts, window surrounds and badges finished in black.
INTERIOR IMPROVEMENTS
Jaguar says that the F-Pace has an all-new cabin that looks more spacious, has improved ergonomics and more focus on the driver.
To evoke a more spacious feel, the new F-Pace utilises lighter colour finishes for the lower sections.
Ergonomic improvements include new window switches, which have been moved from the top of the door roll to the armrest, making them easier to reach and operate.
The new front seats feature wider cushions and improved cooling/heating functions for greater comfort. Also updated is the steering wheel, which now has the familiar unlit-until-used switches. Behind it are a pair of paddle shifters constructed from zinc alloy.
The Jaguar F-Pace also features a new centre console with increased storage space.
Sitting atop it are a new 11.4-inch Pivi Pro infotainment system, which is housed in a magnesium frame, and a gearshift lever with cricket ball-inspired stitching.
DRIVETRAINS
The Jaguar F-Pace range starts with the P250 model. It is powered by a turbocharged 2-litre inline-4 that produces 247hp (250PS, 184kW) and 365Nm. It gives the F-Pace a century sprint time of 6.6 seconds.
The F-Pace P400e, a plug-in hybrid, is available on an indent basis. Its petrol-electric hybrid drivetrain delivers 398hp (404PS), 640Nm and a zero to 100km/h time of 5.3 seconds.
A hotter F-Pace SVR, which has a supercharged 5-litre V8, will also follow in due course.
