Prepare your cashcards: prices are rising.
Charges at these two ERP gantries are set to each rise by $1 from May 6, Monday.
If you are heading to the city along the Central Expressway (CTE) between 830-9am, the gantry before Braddell Road will now have an ERP charge of $2.
That is up from the $1 previously charged.
Above is an interactive Google Map with that particular ERP gantry.
For those travelling along the Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) between 8 to 9am, the ERP charges will rise to $4, up from the $3 now.
This is the gantry in question:
Announcing the changes on Monday, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) said the prices were raised after its quarterly review of traffic conditions on roads and expressways.
The ERP charges, the LTA said, were adjusted to achieve an optimal speed range of between 45km/h to 65km/h on expressways.
The LTA regularly conduct reviews like this to keep ERP prices relevant.
ERP rates are reviewed every quarter and adjusted during the June and December school holidays, based on the traffic conditions at the time.
Remember to always have your cashcard inside your IU at all times, to avoid being charged an “administrative fee” for the violation.
