The newly introduced Standard Chartered Visa Infinite credit card comes with privileges aimed at the affluent traveller, both on the road and in the air. “Affluent” in this case means a minimum annual income of $150,000.
Standard Chartered Bank has partnered with Uber exclusively to offer rebates to Visa Infinite cardholders for hassle-free worldwide transfers in almost 400 cities worldwide, including Singapore. Cardholders will receive 10 percent cash rebate (up to $400 of cash rebates per year) for every Uber ride they take globally. The rebate is applicable for all rides using Uber, regardless of geography or destination. This is the first such tie-up between Uber and a bank in Singapore. Less unique but still useful are the card’s goodies from Hertz: 10 percent off self-drive rentals (such as the Ford Shelby Hertz GT350-H), complimentary rental days, free car-class upgrades, priority bookings and complimentary Hertz Gold Plus Rewards membership.
Visa Infinite cardholders will also receive 35,000 bonus miles upon sign-up and 20,000 bonus miles upon renewal, in the frequent flyer programme of their choice, plus a redemption rate of 1.4 miles per dollar spent locally and 3 miles for each dollar spent overseas, subject to a minimum spend of $2000 per statement month. In addition, they’re entitled to six complimentary lounge visits per annum at over 850 airports worldwide via the Priority Pass programme.
