As the parent company, Volkswagen Group Singapore will directly import and run Skoda’s retail operations here. This will mean better control of the ownership experience for Skoda owners from the moment the customer purchases the car to the collection to aftersales. And for the first time, Skoda customers in Singapore will have access to the latest model lineup straight from Skoda’s headquarters in the Czech Republic.
The new Skoda Singapore showroom, occupying a space of 940 square meters, is at 26 Leng Kee Road. The physical testament to the company’s commitment in this market is modelled after the brand’s global identity.
At the core of the Skoda brand is its Simply Clever philosophy, which means the simple sophistication of ingeniously designed cars.
The cars in the case of Singapore are the Rapid Spaceback, Octavia, Superb and Kodiaq.
The Rapid Spaceback is designed for families, with its compact exterior dimensions and comparatively spacious interior which includes a 415-litre boot. The Octavia, Skoda’s bestseller in Europe, has had its cabin, functionality, safety and comfort upgraded in 2016. The Superb, Skoda’s flagship liftback, offers an expressive design, innovative technologies and big value for money. The Kodiaq is Skoda’s first seven-seater SUV, with the space and amenities for the “simply clever” Singapore family.
“We could not have chosen a better time to bring the brand back to Singapore. Globally, Skoda is going full throttle ahead with new models, solutions and products for the mobility of the future that will delight Skoda fans around the world. With the return of Skoda to Singapore, our intention is to meet the mobility needs of Singaporeans with Skoda’s lineup of award-winning models,” said Mr Ricky Tay, Managing Director of Volkswagen Group Singapore.
Skoda has produced 20 million cars.
