The Skoda Karoq has arrived in Singapore.
Launched yesterday (Nov 9) at the Skoda showroom along Leng Kee Road, the Skoda Karoq is a compact sport utility vehicle measuring 4.382m by 1.841m and is 1.603m tall. It has a wheelbase length of 2.638m.
Overall, the Skoda Karoq is slightly smaller than its cousin, the Volkswagen Tiguan.
The Karoq Style and Ambition variants being sold here are powered by a turbocharged 1.5-litre inline-4 that produces 150hp.
The motor is equipped with Active Cylinder Technology, a function that helps improve fuel economy by deactivating two of the four cylinders during light driving conditions. The engine is paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
The Karoq promises to be more versatile compared to other compact SUVs, thanks to its removable rear seats.
When removed, the Karoq can function as a load-hauler with 1810 litres of boot space. Boot capacity is 521 litres with the rear seats in place and backrests up.
Prices start from $112,900.
