Official Porsche agent Stuttgart Auto has announced that the Taycan, Porsche’s first all-electric sports car, is now available in Singapore.
The Porsche Taycan is offered in three variants: the 4S, Turbo and Turbo S. The Taycan 4S is the “entry-level” variant with an electric motor that delivers up to 523hp (390kW) and 650Nm. It sprints from rest to 100km/h in four seconds.
Taycan Turbo models offer a maximum of 671hp (500kW) and 850Nm, and can rocket from a standstill to 100km/h in 3.2 seconds. Meanwhile, the range-topping Taycan Turbo S demolishes the century sprint in just 2.8 seconds thanks to its electric motors, which provide up to 751hp (560kW) and a mountain-shifting 1050Nm of torque.
Prices for the Porsche Taycan start at $485,988 without COE. The amount includes GST, registration costs and $10k VES rebate, which applies to all three variants.
Like other Porsches, the Taycan models are covered by a comprehensive five-year maintenance and warranty programme, which can be extended to 10 years. The batteries are covered by an eight-year warranty.
CHARGING UP
Various Porsche Charging equipment will be available to Porsche Taycan customers. These include the Porsche Charging Dock and Charging Pedestal, along with the Porsche Mobile Charger Connect.
Buyers can also avail of an online pre-check to see if their residence or office meets the requirements for Porsche Charging equipment.
Once the order for a Taycan is confirmed, a certified electrical specialist appointed by Porsche Centre Singapore will conduct an electrical and spatial check of the parking facilities at the buyer’s residence or office.
If the venue allows it, Porsche Charging Equipment will be installed. The installation will be assessed and approved by a Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) to ensure safe charging. This is in line with Singapore’s regulations.
In addition to home charging, the Porsche Taycan can also be charged at public charging stations islandwide and selected locations with charging options provided by Porsche are in planning.
“Since the Taycan premiered in Asia Pacific to much excitement last year, developing strategic partnerships with exclusive destinations and charge point operators has been one of our priorities.”
“This is to ensure Porsche customers in Singapore are presented with charging options at home, at Porsche Centre Singapore and other public locations,” said Henrik Dreier, General Manager – Singapore.
