Porsche is supplementing its SUV lineup with two new models designed with even higher performance in mind: The Cayenne GTS and Cayenne GTS Coupe.
ENGINE UPGRADES
The Porsche Cayenne GTS and Cayenne GTS Coupe are now each powered by a bi-turbo 4-litre V8.
Said motor receives adaptive cylinder control, direct petrol injection with a central injector position, and an intelligently designed thermal management system. It is paired with a Tiptronic S 8-speed automatic gearbox.
With 453bhp and a peak torque of 620Nm, the engine will see both Porsche Cayenne GTS variants reaching 100km/h from a standstill in just 4.5 seconds (with Sport Chrono Package). Top speed for both models is 270km/h.
Those looking at the Porsche Cayenne GTS Coupe will also get the option of having that engine spit its waste gasses out through a high frequency-tuned sports exhaust system, featuring two centrally positioned oval tailpipes.
IMPROVED DYNAMICS
The standard steel-spring suspension on both Porsche Cayenne GTS models lower the car by 20mm. Porsche Active Suspension Management is paired with Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus as standard to guarantee the dynamics expected of a GTS model.
Both Cayenne GTS models also get 21-inch RS Spyder Design wheels that house cast iron brakes (390 x 38 mm at the front, 358 x 28 mm at the rear). The brakes are fitted with red brake calipers.
The Porsche Surface Coated Brake with tungsten carbide coating or the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake can also be optioned for more stopping power.
Further dynamic boosting options include the 10mm-lower three-chamber air suspension, rear-axle steering and the Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control active roll stabilisation system.
GTS-SPECIFIC ACCENTS
Aesthetically, the Cayenne GTS models set themselves apart with head lights equipped with Porsche’s Dynamic Light System while the LED taillight bar is also dark-tinted.
The front air intakes, side window trims, tailpipes of the sports exhaust system, along with the model and Porsche logos at the rear are also finished in Black.
The cabin features Alcantara on the rooflining, seat centre panels, centre console armrests and doors, for a sporty yet elegant ambience.
Eight-way sports seats with taller side bolsters are also exclusively reserved for the new GTS models for optimal support during dynamic cornering .
Both SUVs sport GTS logos on the front doors, door entry sills, rev counter and head restraints. Numerous personalisation options include the GTS interior package, with additional colour accents in Carmine Red or Crayon, for items such as decorative stitching.
