Porsche has unveiled the Boxster 25 years in celebration of the 25th birthday of the brand’s famous roadster. The limited-edition car pays homage to the Boxster concept car that heralded the two-seater at the 1993 Detroit Motor Show.
The car takes its drivetrain from the 718 Boxster GTS 4.0, offering 394hp. This engine can be paired to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed PDK (dual-clutch).
HISTORIC TOUCHES
The front apron, side air intakes, lettering, and two-tone 20-inch alloy wheels are finished in Neodyme. This is a reinterpreted copper-like shimmering brown, which provided an exciting contrast to the basic GT Silver Metallic colour of the pioneering 1993 showpiece.
Porsche is offering the Boxster 25 years in GT Silver Metallic, with Deep Black Metallic and Carrara White Metallic also available.
The fuel filler cap of the limited-edition roadster is also enhanced by Porsche script from the Exclusive Design range. This shines in an aluminium look, along with the high-gloss tailpipes of the sports exhaust system. The windscreen surround is finished in contrasting Black.
CLASSY INTERIOR
Inside, the Porsche Boxster 25 years is also inspired by the original model. A Bordeaux leather interior is paired with a red fabric convertible top that has been embossed with “Boxster 25” lettering.
An interior package in aluminium, 14-way electrically adjustable sports seats, door sill trims with “Boxster 25” lettering and the heated GT multifunction sports leather steering wheel are just some of the features on the new model’s extended standard equipment list.
Other standard features include Porsche Active Suspension Management, which lowers the car by 10mm, and Porsche Torque Vectoring with a mechanical limited-slip differential.
