Polestar has released a performance-oriented software upgrade for the Polestar 2.
The upgrade adds 67bhp and 20Nm of torque to the vehicle, bringing the car’s new figures to a total of 470bhp and 680Nm.
Polestar states that the increased power and torque is available as a “boost” between the speeds of 70km/h and 130km/h.
Owners can also expect increased responsiveness overall when driving spiritedly. The car’s zero to 100km/h sprint time is reduced from 4.7 to 4.4 seconds.
The Polestar 2 also now sports a reduced 80km/h to 120km/h sprint time of just 2.2 seconds, or half a second quicker than before.
The upgrade is only eligible for models equipped with the Long range Dual motor, and is currently available in selected European markets.
It is scheduled to be rolled out to other international markets in the near future.
Customers with eligible cars simply need to download the upgrade in the Polestar Extras web shop. The new software upgrade will then be delivered via an Over-the-Air update.
