The Peugeot Design Lab website has been given a facelift. The projects completed since the French automaker’s global brand design studio opened four years ago are enhanced by more intuitive ergonomics and updated graphics. The revamped website has been optimised for tablets and smartphones. And for a closer behind-the-scenes look at the studio, an Instagram account has gone live at the same time.
Peugeot Design Lab’s international teams of designers, engineers, image editors and graphic designers based in Paris, Shanghai, São Paulo and San Francisco offer 200 years of industrial experience and 120 years of automotive expertise at the service of internal and external clients, in all business sectors outside the automotive world.
Their expertise is recognised in very specific, demanding sectors such as tableware, watchmaking, furniture, lighting, urban mobility and aerospace.
The new website is easy to navigate on a smartphone or touchscreen tablet, with immersive graphics, larger visuals and bright colours that enhance the details of each project, while the vertical arrangement of the sections and more personal text snippets make it easier to access information.
Peugeot Design Lab has also launched its Instagram account in order to share style drawings, project photos and “making of” sections, as well as behind-the-scenes glimpses of the studio.
“In four years, we have completed a real mixture of different projects – surfboards, pianos, tramways, helicopters, food trucks, bicycles, electric scooters, aircraft seats, watches, moving models, miniature cars and pepper mills, as well as sculptures, furniture and lighting exhibited during Milan Design Week. We want to improve our website and make it the best possible showcase for these projects,” explained Cathal Loughnane, manager of Peugeot Design Lab.
