The facelifted Peugeot 5008 has arrived in Singapore.
The seven-seater SUV comes here equipped with a 129bhp 1.2-litre PureTech engine. The 3-cylinder unit will also produce a maximum 230Nm of torque, and is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
FELINE-INSPIRED TOUCHES
Up front, the new Peugeot 5008 gets a frameless grille with fins that now extend under the headlamps. Gloss black side scoops and a painted treadplate add to the SUV’s road presence.
The front LED head lights have also been redesigned to be more aggressive with an extended light signature. At the rear, new and upgraded tail-lights feature full LED technology with Peugeot’s iconic three-claw light signature and scrolling indicators.
Those lights are also covered with a clear, smoked glass, and extend the black boot lid on each side of the vehicle, helping to visually widen the SUV’s rear.
The new Peugeot 5008 is available here with four new colour options. These include Celebes Blue, Metallic Copper, Pearl White and Ultimate Red.
FRENCH INTERIOR FLAIR
Inside, the Peugeot 5008 gets a 12.3-inch digital head up instrument panel featuring the firm’s new digital i-Cockpit technology. As with other Peugeots, a compact steering wheel is offered for improved driving dynamics.
Allure Premium variants of the 5008 here will have that instrument panel paired with a 10-inch high-definition touchscreen infotainment system.
Said touchscreen also comes with seven elegant “piano toggle switches” for direct access to main control functions.
PEUGEOT 5008: SPACE FOR SEVEN
Further back, the Peugeot 5008 offers a middle row of three fully adjustable and individual seats, with reclining backrests that can be fully folded. The two seats in the third row can also be fully folded and removed.
And should you need to transport furniture, the front passenger seat can be tipped forward so objects up to 3.2m-long can be loaded into the car.
All variants of the Peugeot 5008 will come to Singapore equipped with with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Wireless smartphone charging, and two new USB sockets at the rear also come as standard.
Meanwhile, Allure Premium trim models get additional full LED head lights and 18-inch “Detroit” alloy wheels. Additional features in the cabin for this variant include a Panoramic Sunroof and blue ambient lighting.
Prices for the 5008 currently start from $136,888 with COE.
