Tan Chong Motor, Nissan’s official agent in Singapore, has launched the all-new X-Trail e-POWER.
The new SUV adds to the growing lineup of e-POWER vehicles available here that already include the Serena, Kicks, and Note.
In the X-Trail, the e-POWER powertrain generates a total system output of 201bhp and 330Nm of torque via electric motors. But you won’t have to plug in the car to charge the batteries, though, since there’s a 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine that acts as a generator to charge them.
Power and torque are distributed between the front and rear axle via an e-4orce all-wheel-drive system that promises minimal wheel slippage and enables smooth starting and driving, even in slippery conditions.
Inside, the driver can find pertinent driving information on the 12.3-inch Advanced Drive Assist Display (which has two display modes), alongside a 10.8-inch head-up display. The 12.3-inch NissanConnect navigation system, meanwhile, does duty in the centre of the dash of the X-Trail.
Other equipment includes a Bose Premium Sound System with Active Noise Cancellation technology, and premium leather upholstery. Buyers who want more refinement can tick the option for the amber-coloured Nappa leather.
In terms of occupant safety, the X-Trail is equipped with features such as an intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Blind-Spot Warning, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.
Prices (including COE) currently start from $254,800.
