Nissan has taken the covers off its updated Leaf EV, which is now available in Europe.
The latest model offers enhanced styling, with the exterior featuring Nissan’s latest brand logo, new 16-inch and 17-inch wheel designs, and refreshed paintwork options.
Apart from the five monotone and five two-tone colour options, two new hues – Pearl Blue and Magnetic Blue – have been added to the line-up. The former supposedly has a “rich and mature” tone, while the latter “brings an enhanced sense of vibrancy” to the model.
In Europe, the Leaf comes in two battery options, with the long-range Leaf+ delivering up to 385km (239 miles) of driving range.
Driving assistance and connectivity functions continue to feature in the electric hatchback. ProPILOT, for instance, enables the Leaf to automatically stop, start and maintain a safe distance to the vehicle in front of it.
Meanwhile, the e-Pedal lets drivers engage in one-pedal driving. When the function is engaged, drivers can accelerate, brake and stop by adjusting their foot pressure on the accelerator pedal.
For convenience, the NissanConnect infotainment system offers both smartphone integration (Apple CarPlay and Android Auto) and remote operation. Utilising the NissanConnect Services app, drivers can operate the climate control system to pre-condition the cabin before driving.
Customers can also link the Leaf to their Amazon Alexa smart home device for added convenience.
According to official Nissan agent Tan Chong Motor, the new Leaf will reach Singapore in the second half of 2022. More details about the car’s specifications will follow then.
