The Toyota Prius has never been known for its styling, but the design of this all-new fourth-gen model, which takes its styling cues from the hydrogen-powered Mirai saloon, could polarise opinions with its robot-like face and sharply angled tail-lamps.
The latest Prius still has the same drivetrain as the last model (a 1.8-litre petrol engine paired to an electric motor), but Toyota claims improvements to it have made the new Prius 10 percent more efficient than the older one. Other enhancements include the optional Toyota Safety Sense, a package of technologies that include a Pre-Collision System and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.
The all-new Prius will be launched here in the first quarter of 2016.
