German automotive supplier Continental has launched Park&Go @SG, a parking app that shows motorists available parking spaces at their destination. The app has a navigation function to guide them there, too.
The app relies on data provided by HDB, LTA and third-parties such as private carpark operators, while map data is provided by Nokia’s Here. The collected data is then sent to Continental’s local servers, before the information is pushed to the app. Continental says that the app updates parking space availability every two seconds.
The app was developed in Singapore by Continental, in collaboration with A*STAR’s Institute for Infocomm Research and Technische Universität München (TUM).
Park&Go @SG is currently available only for Android users and is free to download on Google Play. The iOS version of the app will be released in July 2016.
