BMW has unveiled the M2, the brand’s entry-level model in its high-performance M range and the successor to the 1 Series M Coupe that was launched in 2011.
The M2 is equipped with a turbocharged 3-litre inline-6 motor that kicks out 370bhp and 465Nm, figures that better the M235i by 44bhp and 15Nm, respectively. This enables the M2 to demolish the century sprint in just 4.3 seconds. That’s just 0.2 of a second behind it’s bigger and more powerful M4 sibling.
Complementing the M2’s scorching performance are its mean looks. The large air intakes on the front bumper and muscular wheel arches, which are filled by 19-inch forged wheels, tell other drivers that this car means business.
The M2 will come to Singapore in the second quarter of 2016.
