BMW has launched FLOW, a car leasing programme that lets users rent a brand-new Beemer without the high cost of owning one.
With a rental term of 18 months, the service claims to have the “shortest contract period” in Singapore for a brand new car.
It appears aimed at expats, who live in Singapore for a short period and don’t wish to be tied down with a hefty car loan.
“Whether you’re in Singapore on assignment, or simply looking to experience the freedom and flexibility of sheer driving pleasure, FLOW is the
programme for you,” said BMW Group Asia’s managing director Christopher Wehner in a press statement.
He added the programme is set to be a “game-changer” with its “low upfront commitment” and “affordable monthly payments”.
The service includes insurance, road tax and routine servicing at a BMW Service Centre.
Users can also look forward to unlimited mileage and they can maintain their personal financial rating with no loan involved.
In addition, FLOW customers can accumulate cash rebates of up to 60 months after the initial 18-month contract period.
Customers can select everything from the compact BMW 1 Series to the X range of SUVs, which they can then swap for another model once their lease term ends.
BMW has yet to announce pricing for FLOW, which Torque understands could be tagged to prevailing COE rates and tailored to each model and duration of ownership.
BMW says more will info will be announced, so check back soon if such a service piques your interest.
In the meantime, you can visit Performance Motors at 303 Alexandra Road or call 1800-225-5269 for more information.
FLOW comes after automotive marketplace Carro launched its subscription-based car service earlier in March, aimed at reducing the burden of car ownership among Singaporeans.
Carro’s service, which offers used cars (unlike BMW’s service), has three plans priced at $1,199, $1,499 and $1,999 a month for increasingly premium car models.
