The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4MATIC+ 4-Door has set a new record time on the Nurburgring Nordschleife.
AMG Development Engineer Demian Schaffert set the new record for the “luxury class” category in the AMG GT 4-Door, which has received tuned elastokinematics and other fine-tuning measures for the 2021 model year.
The officially measured and notary-certified values are: Seven minutes 23.009 seconds for the 20.6km-long version, and seven minutes 27.800 seconds for the 20.832km-long complete track.
The GT 63 S 4MATIC+ 4-Door completed the Nurburgring record lap in completely standard form wearing Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres.
The aero package, which is also optionally available and mounted on the record-breaking vehicle, also increased stability at higher speeds and reduced the vehicle’s aerodynamic drag.
