Kia has revealed the first images of the K8 saloon.
The new car is the first model since the brand unveiled its new logo, which is featured at the front and rear.
Its new frameless “tiger nose” grille utilises an intricate diamond lattice and is integrated into the front bumper without a frame, for a clean yet expansive look.
Viewed from the side, the Kia K8 offers a sporty profile. The dynamic character line that runs the length of the sedan is said to derive its inspiration from yachts sailing across calm waters.
A chrome strip runs along the bottom of the doors and finishes at the rear lamps, which Kia says “adds confidence and gracefulness” to the side of the sports sedan.
Behind, the Kia K8 has a muscular shape, reinterpreting the modern sedan as fastback. Strong shoulders add to the drama of the K8, while a clean tailored spoiler beautifully finishes the sporty, low roofline.
Adding to the striking design is a horizontal tail-light that carries across the jewel patterned arrangements from the front. This tail-light design is similar to the one on the Hyundai Avante.
Unfortunately, the saloon won’t be coming to Singapore asĀ it will only be produced in left-hand-drive.
