Bearing the chassis number #0001, the vehicle marks Italdesign’s entry into the elite of limited-edition automakers with its Automobili Speciali (“Special Cars”) division.
Italdesign Automobili Speciali was created, on the one hand, to meet the requests of collectors and car enthusiasts interested in unique, ultra-exclusive, high-performance vehicles. On the other hand, Italdesign’s division for Ultra Limited Series Production cars showcases Italdesign’s ability and full capability to offer other car manufacturers a service combining high-tech content with rich artisanal craftsmanship, for the production of their own limited-edition vehicles.
The Zerouno, featuring the same livery and configuration as the model unveiled at the 2017 Geneva International Motor Show, was delivered to Steven Lismont, an important automotive sector entrepreneur and car collector from Belgium, at the Italdesign headquarters in Turin, where it was created, tested and validated to ensure outstanding performance.
The car was presented to Lismont by Italdesign’s CEO Joorg Astalosch, along with members of the company’s management committee and the team that worked directly on the project.
Lismont had the opportunity to experience his new supercar’s performance and characteristics for the first time, with a test drive of about 100km around Italdesign’s HQ in Moncalieri.
The vehicle delivered is the first in the series of five Zerounos planned for production, which have all already been sold to collectors from different parts of the world.
Using a state-of-the-art carbon-aluminum modular frame and a body made entirely out of carbon fibre, the Zerouno is powered by a naturally aspirated Audi Sport V10 engine, with an intelligent all-wheel-drive system and a dual-clutch 7-speed gearbox. It tops out at 330km/h and accelerates from zero to 100km/h in just 3.2 seconds.
The Zerouno was designed, engineered, produced and tested by Italdesign in Turin, combining all skills and competences achieved in the past 49 years since the firm’s foundation.
