A simple button press now is all you need to be connected to roadside assistance services.
All you need to do is launch your Waze app and hit the SOS button.
Under a new partnership, your request will be sent to either a digital platform or call centre and you’ll be assisted anywhere 24/7.
The help provided falls under a partnership between popular navigation app Waze and Allianz Partners that has been expanded to cover Asia Pacific countries.
Singapore is one of those countries, in addition to Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Thailand and Australia.
“Drivers will be able to access an on-demand roadside assistance service powered by Allianz Partners in real-time, by one simple click on the Roadside Help (‘SOS’) button in the Waze app, and get support from either a digital platform or call center,” Waze and Allianz Partners said in a joint press release.
It was previously only available to 20 European countries when it first launched in July 2018.
Said CEO Assistance at Allianz Partners Sylvie Ouziel: “With our partnership now entering the APAC market, this marks another milestone for Allianz Partners as the ‘high-tech, high-touch’ assistance services leader. We are providing on-demand immediate assistance solutions to a highly digitalised population.”
“We are proud to be expanding our partnership with Waze, the best-in-class community-based traffic and navigation app.”
Mapping and navigation app Waze has been steadily adding to its portfolio of features, with the Allianz Partners tie-up being the most recent.
Its crowdsourced nature makes it unbeatable when it comes to reporting traffic hazards like jams or closed roads, and it’s famous for its ease of use too.
