Hyundai has unveiled the first teaser images of the highly anticipated Ioniq 5 mid-size crossover.
The car will be the first model in its new Ioniq lineup, which will consist solely of battery electric vehicles.
It will also be the first vehicle mated with Hyundai Motor Group’s Electric-Global Modular Platform.
These first images reveal signature design elements including the use of Hyundai’s “Parametric Pixels” – arrays of pixel-inspired lights that suggest the digital technology within.
The Ioniq 5 will also the first Hyundai to feature a clamshell hood that spans the entire width of the car, minimising panel gaps and creating a clean and high-tech look.
Aero-optimised wheels further echo the Parametric Pixel design theme. At a sizeable 20 inches, they will be the largest rims ever fitted to a Hyundai electric vehicle.
