Komoco Motors is continuing to offer contactless test drives for the IONIQ Electric as part of Hyundai’s Electric Motion programme.
This initiative aims to give drivers a chance to experience an EV (electric vehicle). The programme is run together with Shell, which owns EV charging provider Greenlots.
Hyundai Electric Motion initially ran from 5-18 August 2021, with the car located in Shell MacPherson.
The initiative is on again from now till 22 September 2021. But this time, the IONIQ Electric is collected at and returned to Shell Novena. Slots can be reserved at this link.
As before, drivers are offered hour-long unaccompanied test drives. For safety, the drives are also spaced an hour apart so that drivers do not meet the next one.
The IONIQ Electric is also equipped with a sanitiser that releases an odourless disinfecting vapour every 20 seconds. It is formulated to kill airborne and surface microbes to reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection.
