Honda participated in Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2018, which was held at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta. With the theme of “Drive Sporty – Live Safely”, Honda exhibited its latest products with sporty character, including the new Small RS Concept.
As the biggest highlight of Honda booth and the manifestation of Honda-style sportiness, the Small RS Concept made its world premiere at IIMS 2018. Designed by Honda R&D Asia Pacific Co. Ltd., the orange-coloured concept car features a sporty exterior design, expressing Honda sporty DNA. The pocket-rocket prototype is built on Honda’s small car platform, is suitable for everyday usage by young-at-heart customers across Asia, and offers sporty driving feeling at the same time.
As with existing Honda models, the “RS” logo and treatment are applied to Honda variants which features sportier design characters. Currently, Honda has RS variants of several models in Indonesia and selected countries in the region, including Jazz RS, Brio RS and Mobilio RS.
President Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM), Takehiro Watanabe, said at the unveiling of the show car, “Honda Small RS Concept is the implementation of our endless innovation, emphasising Honda sporty spirit, especially in small car lineups. As a concept car, this is our vision of what a small sporty car should be.”
