Skoda has unveiled designs of its new Kamiq city SUV, showing off its contours and new design elements.
The world premiere of the new SUV will take place from March 5 to 17, 2019 at the Geneva Motor Show.
In a first for Skoda, the new city-biased SUV offers split headlights with daytime running lights above.
A distinctive grille and high ground clearance also makes the Skoda Kamiq stand out.
In addition, the Kamiq is the first Skoda to have front and rear dynamic indicators.
Combined with “crystalline” effect headlamps and LED units, that “enhances the car’s premium appeal”, Skoda said.
Those elements represent another interpretation of Skoda’s SUV design language, said Skoda’s chief designer Oliver Stefani.
At the rear, clearly-defined rear lamps carry on Skoda’s classic C-shaped taillight design, which also feature crystalline shapes.
Perhaps the most obvious change is the Skoda lettering on the rear, which for the first time on Skodas is spelt out in full in the middle of the tailgate.
