Porsche has revealed the facelifted Macan.
PORSCHE MACAN: NOW SHARPER AND SPORTIER
The facelifted Macan range is getting a power hike, with the top-of-the-line Macan GTS now delivering 434bhp (a 59bhp upgrade).
This allows the compact SUV to complete the zero to 100km/h sprint in 4.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 272km/h when fitted with the Sport Chrono package.
The Porsche Macan GTS also gets sport air suspension as standard. The system lowers the GTS by 10mm and is 10% more rigid on the front axle and 15 % firmer on the rear axle compared with its predecessor.
The Macan S is now also equipped with a 2.9-litre V6 bi-turbo engine that produces 26bhp more power than before, with 375bhp. This propels the vehicle from a standstill to 100km/h in 4.6 seconds while it has a top speed of up to 259km/h.
At the entry point to the range, the base Porsche Macan also gets a newly developed, turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 261bhp. It completes the standard zero to 100km/h sprint in 6.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 232km/h.
All engines are coupled to the 7-speed Porsche dual-clutch transmission and the Porsche Traction Management all-wheel-drive system.
SHARPER DESIGN
There’s a newfound exterior aggression to match the power bump as well.
A redesigned nose is now furnished with a new inlay, finished in the exterior colour (it remains black on the GTS). The new front emphasises the Macan’s width, making it look even more imposing on the road.
The Porsche Macan’s rear also has a new diffuser. LED head lights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System and Sport Design exterior mirrors are now standard on all models.
NEW COLOUR OPTIONS INSIDE
In the interior of the Porsche Macan, various touch surfaces have replaced tactile buttons. There’s also a new, shorter gear selector. The new Porsche Macan also gets the new multifunction and GT Sport steering wheels from the 911.
And the analogue clock at the top of the dashboard is now standard, too.
A number of leather upholstery and contrasting seam packages in Gentian Blue, Papaya or Crayon are optionally available to add new colour highlights to the interior.
