The DS 7 Crossback SUV was unveiled earlier today at the 2019 Singapore Motorshow.
The carmaker describes the DS 7 Crossback as “the embodiment of French luxury expertise and innovtion”, which tells you everything about the level of clientele they are aiming for.
French president Emmanuel Macron chose the DS 7 Crossback as the official car at his inauguration.
The DS 7 is powered by a turbocharged 1.6-litre 4-cylinder that produces 222hp and 300Nm of torque.
Paired to an 8-speed automatic, this SUV goes from rest to 100km/h in 8.9 seconds.
For comfort, the DS 7 Crossback is equipped with the brand’s DS Active Scan suspension, which uses a camera to analyse the road ahead.
The camera is connected electronically to the front and rear axles, coupled with data collected from 4 height sensors and 3 accelerometers to gauge the car’s parameters such as speed, steering wheel angle and braking.
The system then automatically adjusts the suspension to deal with surface imperfections.
The DS 7 is currently priced at $179,999 with COE.
