Land Rover Classic is celebrating the expedition legacy of the original Camel Defender with a limited production run of Defender Works V8 Trophy vehicles.
Based on the re-engineered Defender Works V8, the limited edition car utilises a 399bhp petrol V8 with 515Nm of torque.
That V8 is paired to an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. Each car also comes with comprehensively uprated suspension, steering and braking, plus a wide range of additional upgrades tailored for off-road use.
Only 25 examples of the Defender Works V8 Trophy will be built in a mixture of 90 and 110 body styles. Each one will be finished in Eastnor Yellow paint with matching 16-inch steel wheels.
The wheel arches, bonnet and rear door will feature contrasting Narvik Black paintwork. Special event participation graphics will also be personalised for each customer.
Additional all-terrain kit includes a front winch, multi-point expedition cage, roof rack and underbody protection. The cars also get an A-bar, raised air intake, LED spotlights and mud-terrain tyres.
Inside, the Defender Works V8 Trophy gets full black Windsor leather upholstery with Recaro sports seats, contrast yellow stitching, and a bespoke Land Rover Trophy clock face by Elliot Brown.
Land Rover Classic’s own Classic Infotainment System with integrated navigation and mobile device connectivity is also fitted.
All customers of the car will be invited to compete in an exclusive three-day adventure at Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire – the spiritual home of Land Rover all-terrain training, testing and development.
This will also be the first time customers will get to drive their car.
