Certificates of entitlement (COE) ended mixed in the latest tender on Wednesday, as fresh demand whipped up by a major car retail event partly offsets a generally weaker market.
COE for cars up to 1600cc and 130bhp finished decidedly higher at $52,668, up from $50,991. COE for cars above 1600cc or 130bhp closed slightly lower at $56,206, down from $56,410.
Open COE, which can be used for any vehicle type but ends up mostly for bigger cars, was also slightly weaker at $56,000, down from $56,340 previously.
Commercial vehicle COE shot up from $45,589 to close at $48,001. Motorcycle premium ended slightly lower at $6311, down from $6354.
