There are plenty of great deals to be found at IT shows, but whenever I step into one, I’m always slightly intimidated.
Perhaps it’s because I haven’t ventured deep enough into the Hardwarezone.
Walking into an IT show can be a bewildering experience. There are a dozen emcees yelling out their booth’s special deals, and another dozen yelling out lucky draw results. “Booth babes” fill your hands with product flyers. And with so many brands of laptops, TVs, mobile phones, tablets and routers all vying for my attention, it doesn’t take long for me to feel disoriented.
But as a car enthusiast, I feel right at home in any motor show. You can line up dozens of models from dozens of manufacturers, and they wouldn’t faze me one bit. Vehicle types, engines, transmissions and performance figures all make perfect sense to me.
So I was pleasantly surprised to find that apart from the myriad of gadgets being exhibited, SITEX 2017, which is being held from November 23 to November 26, 2017 at Singapore Expo, had stuff for petrolheads to check out, too.
