Bridgestone Tyre Sales Singapore and Bridgestone Asia Pacific jointly organised a visit to Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home on July 9, 2016. Over 45 employees and family members contributed their time and energy to bring some weekend cheer to the 110 elderly residents of the home.
In 2015, the tyre company supported Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home by building an edible garden and engaging with the residents. This year’s visit was to reconnect with the residents and expand the edible garden.
To give the elderly residents a happy day, Bridgestone employees and their family members brought and distributed gift bags consisting of medical ointments, lozenges and medical plasters. The balmy Saturday afternoon was brought to life with interactive Bingo games and a karaoke session.
Established in the mid-1960s, Lee Ah Mooi seeks to provide affordable, professional and personalised eldercare services for the sick and needy in Singapore, regardless of race, language or religion.
According to Michael Tan, managing director of Bridgestone Tyre Sales Singapore, “The company has been giving back to the wider community in terms of environment and society, as we believe that investing in building our community will result in a more caring and resilient society.”
