Ask any Alfisti – that’s an Alfa Romeo fan – to name some beautiful Alfa Romeos and they’ll have to think hard for their answer.
The Italian marque has turned out gorgeously-formed sheetmetal over the years, dating back to their early days in 1906.
Some of its more notable cars include the Spider and more recentĀ Disco Volante.
However, this Alfa Romeo takes the cake when it comes to concept Alfas that we all love but can’t buy.
Korean designer Lee Taekang has shown off a concept render of an Alfa Romeo truck, complete with Scudetto grille.
The classic Alfa Romeo grille takes up the entirety of the front of the truck, making it look like some sort of four-wheeled Power Ranger.
The sharp daytime-running lights (DRLs) have the faintest hint of modern Renault to them, while the gaping front gaping air dam looks like they could be from Mercedes-Benz’s AMG performance models.
Mr Lee has also incorporated the Quadrifoglio – four-leaf-clover – design into the concept truck, a symbol applied only to Alfa’s fastest cars.
The futuristic look is reminiscent of the Tesla Semi, an electric hauler which looks set to make an appearance in 2019.
Tesla calls it the “safest truck ever”, thanks to a combination of all-round sensors and maximum visibility from the driver’s cockpit.
The versions of the Tesla Semi listed online are set to have between 300-500 miles (480-805 km) of range, but Tesla founder Elon Musk said that production versions could have as much as 600 miles (965 km) of range.
But yes, back to the Alfa truck. We’d totally buy one. Would you?
