For me, that blissful feeling of buying my new car (which is only the beginning of a relationship) lasted for about a year, then the “itchiness” started – my need to modify my ride.
Immediately after collecting my new Kia Cerato (read about the newer Cerato Koup here), I changed its standard 15-inch wheels to 17-inch BBS ones. I started meddling with other areas/parts of my car soon after.I ditched the springs and dampers for a set of performance coilovers, replaced the original spark plugs with high-performance ones and installed a cold-air intake system to improve the engine’s “breathing”.
But each time I changed something, there was always a nagging thought at the back of my mind: What if my car’s warranty is voided because of what I did?
