The latest X3 is roomier and more refined than its predecessor, with new standard equipment such as an acoustic-glazed windscreen, wireless smartphone charging and gesture controls for the brand’s iDrive infotainment system. The biggest news, however, is that the X3 finally has a sportier variant called the M40i. Aimed at keener drivers, the M40i is BMW’s answer to the likes of the Audi SQ5 and Mercedes-AMG GLC43.
