If there ever was a car that overshadowed everything else in a movie, it would no doubt be the MINI hot hatch in the 2003 remake of classic heist flick The Italian Job.
At once cutesy and racy, the impossibly nippy hatchback became a talking point among movie and MINI enthusiasts alike. The film did more for MINI marketing that year than any advertisement.
With master thieves Mark Wahlberg and Charlize Theron behind the wheel, those MINIs looked even sexier. Even if you prefer the original “Job” and the pure British Minis from that 1969 hit (the modern MINIs in the movie are actually half-German), you’ll never forget the action-packed sequence of the getaway cars racing through Los Angeles’ metro tunnels and sewer pipes.
