The second-generation Skyline was codenamed C110, nicknamed “Ken & Mary” (or Kenmeri in Japan) and produced from 1973 to 1977. The C110 GT-R was the least successful/sellable in the history of the Skyline, with only 197 units made because of the oil crisis in the early 1970s that dried out the demand for high-performance sports cars.
This would also be the last Skyline model to be introduced for more than 16 years, until the launch of the iconic R32 in 1989.
