Car polishing is a pretty tedious job, especially for do-it-yourself grooming enthusiasts.
After washing, polishing and waxing, the thought of also polishing the windows sounds bothersome.
However, keeping your windscreens and windows spic-and-span by using a car glass polish is equally important.
Here are three reasons why you shouldn’t skip this step.
1) Car glass gets very filthy and not everything can be washed away!
If contaminants can get embedded in your paintwork, they sure as hell can be embedded in your windows, too.
Car glass polish can get rid of that unsightly mess.
A good example of this is on your front windscreen.
Look at how the area that gets wiped by the windshield wipers is cleaner than those un-wiped areas.
Even if you wash your car regularly, the dirt remains.
When this happens, it is a good idea to whip out that car glass polish.
Put some elbow grease into it and your visbility (at least through the glass) will be back to 100 percent.
Pro-tip: Use a clay bar and lubricant prior to polishing for even better results!
2) Visibility is critical!
It’s hard to see through a filthy windscreen.
It’s even harder to see through it when headlights are shining on it.
This is especially true if you have a dirty rear windscreen.
When headlights hit it, you can hardly see anything in your rear view mirror.
Now imagine how bad this gets when it is raining.
And no, rainwater cannot always wash away the gunk that’s stuck there.
You need a car glass polish to get the job done.
3) Polishing your glass complements your glossy bodywork.
Imagine showing up to a black-tie event in the most finely tailored suit.
Now picture yourself wearing that along with with a pair of smudged and dirty spectacles.
It looks horrible and you might end up tripping over things during said event.
That is the same reason why you need to apply car glass polish to your windscreen and windows.
For do-it-yourself groomers, this is one step that can never be done enough!
