Breitling has unveiled the Premier Bentley Mulliner, a limited-edition timepiece created to celebrate the brands’ 17-year partnership.
Said partnership is the longest in the automotive industry between a car brand and a watchmaker.
Breitling and Bentley first got together in 2002. Bentley commissioned the watch brand back then to create a dashboard clock for the upcoming Continental GT.
MULLINER-INSPIRED
The Breitling Premier Bentley Mulliner takes many of its design cues from the new Bentley Continental GT Mulliner Convertible.
For instance, the blue alligator leather strap echoes the Imperial Blue upholstery found in the car’s cabin. Meanwhile, the watch’s silver dial is inspired by the Convertible’s dashboard clock.
The red second hand and red 60-minute scale echo the red stitching found in the car’s interior as well.
And on the Premier Bentley Mulliner’s case is a plate with “Bentley” engraved on it. This harks back to the engine spin dashboard of historic Bentleys.
TECHNICAL FEATURES
The Premier Bentley Mulliner has a 42mm stainless steel case. It is powered by the Breitling Manufacturer Calibre 01, which has a power reserve of about 70 hours.
Each timepiece is COSC-certified, and only 1000 pieces will be made.
