Bell & Ross has unveiled their latest timepieces from the BR05 model line.
Like other Bell & Ross models, the BR05 Black Steel and Gold, and BR05 Skeleton Blue feature the watchmaker’s distinctive square case and round dial design.
The angular design of these watches is more apparent when they are viewed from the side. Strong lines, coupled with the screws on each corner – and on the pushers – give these timepieces a utilitarian feel.
BELL & ROSS BR05 BLACK STEEL AND GOLD
The two-tone colour scheme aims to evoke the spirit of the 1980s. The materials used here are satin-finished and polished steel, along with 18k rose gold.
Bell & Ross says that this style is a “fusion of robustness and sophistication”.
The case diameter is 40mm, and the sunray dial features skeletonised hour and minute hands coated with Super-LumiNova® for better legibility in low light.
Protecting the dial is anti-reflective sapphire glass. The watch is water resistant to 100m.
The Bell & Ross BR05 Black Steel and Gold is available with either a rubber strap or a steel and rose gold bracelet.
BLACK STEEL AND GOLD: MOVEMENT
The BR05 Black Steel and Gold is powered by the BR-CAL.321. This automatic mechanical movement features a 360° ruthenium-coated oscillating weight, which can be seen through the clear caseback.
When fully wound, the BR-CAL.321. has a power reserve of approximately 40 hours. The BR05 Black Steel and Gold is currently priced at $33,000.
BELL & ROSS BR05 SKELETON BLUE
Like its sibling, the BR05 Skeleton Blue also features the same striking angular designs and see-through caseback.
That’s where their similarities end, though.
As its moniker states, the Skeleton Blue is a skeleton watch, with a blue-tinted dial that lets the wearer admire the BR-CAL.322 movement beneath it.
Said movement is an automatic mechanical one, with a blue-coated oscillating weight. Like the BR-CAL.321, it also has a power reserve of around 40 hours.
The timepiece is available with either a metal bracelet or blue-ribbed rubber strap. Production of the BR05 Skeleton Blue is limited to 500 pieces, and it is currently priced at $10,300.
