Mazda will expand its SUV lineup from 2022 onwards.
Two new models, the CX-60 and CX-80, are already planned for introduction in Europe. The two cars will offer two-row and three-row seating respectively, and will be introduced in the next two years.
Both will furthermore be available with a new plug-in hybrid drivetrain. It will pair a 4-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor.
Also in the works from the Japanese firm is a new generation 6-cylinder Skyactiv-X petrol engine paired with a 48V mild hybrid system.

There’s also a new CX-70 and CX-90, as well as a CX-50 planned, although these will be headed for the US market alongside a few other locations.
But here’s where things get really interesting: There’s going to be a new MX-30. This new model, the firm states, will incorporate multiple electrification technologies, and use a rotary engine as a generator.
A host of new products based on a new EV-dedicated platform is also planned from 2025.
