Honda Prologue.
Honda, together with General Motors (GM), is working on an all-electric SUV called the Prologue, which will make its debut in 2024.
The Prologue has been developed as part of Honda’s collaboration with GM to develop new and affordable electric vehicles (EVs). Honda says it will introduce 30 new EVs globally by 2030, with a volume of two million units.
Honda says that the SUV will be “adventure-ready” and capable of satisfying everyday driving and weekend getaways. Supporting this adventure-ready brief is an exterior design combining a long wheelbase with short overhangs.
The Prologue is claimed to have a clean and simple design, reflecting the “Man-Maximum, Machine-Minimum” ethos reflected by the current Honda Civic. The new SUV bears a striking resemblance to the HR-V, too.
Following the Prologue’s launch, production and sales of Honda models based on the brand’s e:Architecture will commence from 2026 onwards.
Come 2027, the carmaker will also begin production and sales of new and affordable EVs based on a new vehicle architecture co-developed with GM.
