To mark the 93rd edition of Pitti Uomo, said to be the world’s most important platform for men’s clothing and accessory collections, Ducati and Locman have presented their new watch to the international public, The product is born from the partnership agreement signed in early 2017.
The new collection of watches expresses the high-tech nature and competitive spirit of the world of motorcycling. The Ducati Locman watch was designed and produced according to an innovative construction project that combines quality movements with materials like titanium, carbon fibre, AISI 316L stainless steel and silicone, which are known for their incredible lightness and resistance to stress, but also for their pleasant textures.
This model, with its unique and sporty design, therefore brings together man and technology. The tonneau-shaped case, in brushed steel with polished details or brushed steel with a black PVD coating, is water-resistant to a depth of 100 metres and has a self-winding mechanical movement developed by S.I.O. (Scuola Italiana di Orologeria), which can be seen through a crystal pane on the titanium case-back. The other “engine” available is a quartz chronograph mechanism.
The grey enameled dial with sunray effect or in carbon fibre has the Ducati logo at 6 o’clock and the Locman logo at 3 o’clock. The hands, bigger than normal, enable the wearer to tell the time without any problem, even in extreme situations. The strap, in perforated hypoallergenic silicone, is attached to the steel case using two lug screws.
Each of the special-edition Ducati Locman watch models will be available in 1000 numbered pieces starting from April 2018 in all Locman Boutiques and exclusive jewellery shops.
