Four sporty bikes for almost every occasion are the first result of the new cooperation between Mercedes-Benz Accessories GmbH and the renowned bicycle manufacturer Focus. The bicycles, developed and produced in Germany, have an exclusive Mercedes-Benz design and are equipped with high-quality components.
The elegant, exclusive design of the new Mercedes-Benz bikes from the performance bike manufacture Focus has a black frame combined with pure blue contrasts found on the saddle or the chain struts. The following are the four new sporty Mercedes-Benz Bikes for on- and off-road cycling, as well as for leisure time and training:
Mercedes-Benz Mountainbike
With its 27.5- or 29-inch wheels and four different frame heights (38/42 and 46/50), everyone will find the right size for their individual step length with the Mountainbike. Thanks to the carbon frame, it weighs only 11.4kg. The shifter cables and brake lines are installed in the frame. The Hardtail is equipped with a Reba RL suspension fork with 100mm spring travel from RockShox. The SLX group from Shimano (22 gears) is used on the chain ring and crank. Shimano-Deore disc brakes on the front and rear axles also prove reliable on downhill passages. This bike rolls on Continental Race King SL 2.2 tyres.
Mercedes-Benz Racing Bike
At approximately 7.9kg, the Racing Bike from Focus is even lighter than the Mountainbike. Its high-quality equipment includes carbon frames with internal shifter cables. The fork is also made of carbon. The 28-inch wheels are DT-SWISS R522, topped with Continental Ultrasport SL tyres. A total of 22 gears can be selected, as on the rear axle sits an 11-speed cassette (Shimano Ultegra), with a Shimano 105 chain ring. The stem, handlebar, saddle and support come from Concept. Braking in the front and rear is done with the hydraulic disc brake Shimano Ultegra.
Mercedes-Benz Fitness Bike
The Fitness Bike has an aluminium frame and 28-inch wheels, aligned with Schwalbe Smart Sam tyres. Hydraulic disc brakes (Tektro HD-M285) allow safe deceleration, while the chain shifting with 27 gears guarantees the optimal translation ratio. The switching group comes from Shimano (Alivio / Acera). The suspension fork (SR Suntour NEX HLO) has a spring travel of 63mm and can be locked – on slopes, for example. The bike weighs approximately 13.5kg.
Mercedes-Benz Trekking Bike
In addition, equipped with Nabendynamo, mudguards and carrier carriers, the Trekking Bike is ready for the next trip. In contrast to its Fitness brother model, the trekking bike weighs approximately 15.6kg and rolls on Schwalbe Citizen Light tyres.
