Ford’s next generation Fiesta shows off the new face of the American brand.
Touted as the world’s most technologically advanced small car, it is the first Ford to have Pedestrian Detection that can help prevent collisions at night, and Active Park Assist with brake interventions to prevent low-speed bumps when parking hands-free.
It will have a premium Bang & Olufsen hi-fi system, the latest in connectivity, “floating” high-definition touchscreens and a panoramic glass roof which can be opened.
The car will also boast a new suspension and Electronic Torque Vectoring Control.
Engines include a 140bhp turbocharged 1-litre petrol and a 120bhp 1.5-litre turbo-diesel, each mated to a new 6-speed transmission. The new Fiesta will arrive in Singapore in the middle of next year.
